Shipping Policy

Every Janell Bags order is hand-cut and made to order (or pulled from a small ready-made batch) right here in our Newport, Maine workshop. Because each piece is genuinely handmade, we ask for a little patience between the moment you check out and the moment your bag ships, we promise it's worth the wait.

Processing Time

Orders typically leave our workshop within 2–5 business days of purchase. This is the time it takes us to finish, inspect, and pack your bag. It does not include transit time once it's in the carrier's hands. During busy seasons (holidays, sales events), processing may run slightly longer, and we'll note that on the site if it does.

Shipping Cost

We offer free shipping on every order, no minimum required.

Delivery Timeframes

Once your order ships, you'll receive a confirmation email with tracking so you can follow it the rest of the way home. Transit times vary by destination and carrier but generally run 3–7 business days within the U.S. after processing is complete.

Shipping Destinations

We currently ship within the United States, and we're able to ship internationally to destinations supported by our carrier setup. If you're ordering from outside the U.S., any applicable customs fees, duties, or import taxes are the responsibility of the recipient and are not included in your order total.

Order Tracking

A tracking number is emailed automatically as soon as your order ships. If you don't see it, check your spam folder before reaching out, we're happy to look it up for you.

Address Accuracy

Please double-check your shipping address at checkout. We're not able to make changes once an order has shipped, and we can't be responsible for packages delivered to an incorrectly entered address.

Lost or Damaged Packages

If your package arrives damaged or appears to be lost in transit, reach out to us right away at janell@janellbags.com and we'll help sort it out with the carrier.
